I am not very good at writing in "legal-eze". As problems and concerns arise, this page will be added to in order to help us both fully understand some of the choices I have had to make so I can continue to provide you the very best product and service. |
1. CUSTOMER SUPPLIED FABRIC: For years I have allowed customer supplied fabric. Due to difficulties with recent orders and improper fabrics, I am must discontinue this option.
2. SHIPPING CHARGES: For the last several years, shipping charges have been a flat rate of $7.00. This covers postage and insurance. Within the last 2 months the USPS has managed to "lose" 3 orders which I have had to remake and reship at my expense. Can't afford to do that any longer. All packages will now include insurance. That will be mentioned, also, in your "Order Confirmation" letter.
3. ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL CAPS: These caps are all made the same, even though they are individually made. There are three (3) different sizes: Regular, XL, and Special Fit (for those heads that are 7-1/2 or larger. Please measure your head to see if you fit in the latter category. You don't want to end up with caps that are too small. Unfortunately there are no refunds for orders of the wrong size.
4. FABRIC SELECTIONS: Because I am just a small company, it is impossible to keep large quantities of each fabric selection in stock. If you have checked other scrub cap sites, you will find that I have the largest selection anywhere. When orders come in, it is possible that the order prior to yours used up the last of one particular fabric. I will make every effort to order additional supplies for your order to provide your first choice, but if that is not possible, it is important that you give me a minimum of 2 alternatives in the order you prefer having them. If you do not make an alternate selection and the fabric chosen is not available (and I can't get ahold of you to get another choice), a selection will be made that closely resembles your first choice.
5. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Due to shipment losses ALL orders going out of the US (FPO and AE excluded) now will be charged $27.00 for shipping. This is for Express Postage. That covers insurance and Tracking to the destination. This is a flat rate and it usually costs me more than this. This is for your benefit as well as mine.
6. PRODUCTION AND SHIPPING: You get my individual attention every step of the way. I am just one person. The maximum number of caps and bonnets that can be made is somewhere around 6-10. My passion is making your caps and I will not do any short cuts to hurry you out the door so I can get to the next person in line. There are (and have been) many times when there are orders in front of you. Sometimes the wait will be a day. Sometimes the wait will be a month before I can get to your order. Be assured that you will find the caps and bonnets well worth the wait.
7. RETURNS: Since there is no way to try these caps and bonnets (especially Chemotherapy "Elana" bonnets), it is recommended that you purchase just one to see if you like it and to see if it fits. Once a cap is purchased, it is impossible to return for full refund. (Would you want to get a bonnet/cap that someone else bought and wore?) If you insist on purchasing a large quantity of bonnets initially, you bear the responsibility if the product is not to your satisfaction.
8. REFUNDS: When you place your order, the money is charged to your credit card immediately. that money is held in the account until the order is shipped to you. If, for some reason, you feel the waiting period is too long for you, please let me know immediately, and your order can be cancelled and your money refunded. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME A REFUND CAN BE MADE. ONCE THE ORDER IS SHIPPED THERE CAN BE NO REFUND.
9. MORE ON REFUNDS: When you place an order and pay through Paypal, they have a 30-day refund policy. If, for some reason, you feel you do not want the order, and would like a refund, you need to let me know within the first 30 days. Refunds will be made through Paypal as soon as humanly possible. If your request comes after the initial 30 day period, there is no way to refund the money.
9a. EVEN MORE ON REFUNDS: Please note that Paypal has a 7-day Buyer Protection Policy in place. Because ALL of the caps and bonnets are made for you AFTER you have placed your order, there are times I cannot ship within the SEVEN (7) days covered under this Protection Policy. If you feel that waiting more than seven days is excessive, please contact me.
10. SPECIAL ORDER FABRICS: If I don't have something that you absolutely can't live without, I will gladly search for it and order it just for you. But, because of the added cost of shipping charges (to me), I find it necessary to start charging an additional $5.00 per cap or bonnet for this service. The "buy-five-get-one-free" offer is NOT valid with special order fabrics.
